Yesterday, on their way home from the bi-monthly group meeting at the Vet Center, Bob Hanks suffered a stroke while driving on I45.

Lee Henderson was with him and at first didn't know what was happening.

The car veered into the center barricade, bounced off, traveled a bit, then hit the barricade again, this happened  5 times, one of hits almost caused the car to flip.

Eventually Bob was able to bring his car to a stop on the right shoulder.

At that time, the person following appeared  at the passenger door and flashed his badge stating that he had been behind for over a mile, knowing something was wrong.

Lee asked him to call for an ambulance.

Bob was taken to Memorial Hermann in the Med Center.

His son, Terry, told us that he is in serious condition.

We'll update you on his condition, when we know more.

Charlotte Henderson
