 CHAPTER CREED

The following Creed has been adopted by the Texas Lone Star Chapter of the Korean War Veterans to express our beliefs and purpose. This Creed shall be read at all business meetings of the regular membership of the Chapter, and at any other time that the members, officers or directors deem appropriate.

“We, the members of the Texas Lone Star Chapter of the Korean War Veterans, are the living representatives of the 54,246 members of the armed forces serving worldwide who gave their lives in the period of June 25, 1950 through July 27, 1953, and until peace is restored.

And, as members, we are dedicated to also represent the American prisoners of war that were never returned, and the more than 7000 American service personnel still listed as Missing in Action in the Korean War.

Our purposes are:

(1) to motivate patriotism among the American people and to raise their awareness of the Korean War and those who serve in it.

(2) to render help and support to the wounded and disabled American veterans of the Korean War.
