Greetings from the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Houston!

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the March First Independence Movement*, the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Houston proudly presents a Centennial Concert in Houston on Sunday, March 3rd at 6 pm at Hobby Center for the Performing Arts - Zilkha Hall (800 Bagby St., Houston, TX 77002) in Houston downtown’s theater district.

(*Recognized as one of the most important events in modern Korean history, the March 1st Movement in 1919 ignited the surge for freedom and independence until the restoration of Korean independence in 1945 after 35 years of Japanese colonial rule.)

The Centennial Concert will feature internationally lauded Korean-American professional musicians and performers with Houston ties. Please see the poster below and attached for more information and feel free to share with your friends, family and colleagues as well.

We would be honored if you can join us at the Centennial Concert. The event is free, but because the seats are limited, RSVP is required to secure your space.

l  Please RSVP at Korea.RSVP@gmail.com or 713-961-0186 by Tuesday, February 26th.

l  Please include your name (names of your guests) and your contact information.

l  Parking: Parking at the Hobby Center Garage is available for $12 event parking fee. Street parking, Theater District Garage, and surface lots are also available at different rates.

Thank you and we hope to see you at the Centennial Concert: Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the March 1st Independence Movement of Korea.

Sincerely,

Consulate General of the Repubic of Korea in Houston
