CHAPTER CREED

The following Creed has been adopted by the Texas Lone Star Chapter of the Korean War Veterans to express our beliefs and purpose. This Creed shall be read at all business meetings of the regular membership of the Chapter, and at any other time that the members, officers or directors deem appropriate. "We, the members of the Texas Lone Star Chapter of the Korean War Veterans, are the living representatives of the 36,700 members of the U. S. Armed Forces and the 7, 704 Korean servicemen attached to the U.S. Army in Korea who gave their lives in the period of June 25, 1950 through July 27, 1953 and until peace is restored.

And, as members, we are dedicated to also represent the American prisoners of war that were never returned, and the more than 7,000 service personnel still listed as Missing in Action in the Korean War. Our purposes are:

(1) To motivate patriotism among the American people and to raise their awareness of the Korean War and those who served in it.

(2) To render help and support to the wounded and disabled

American veterans of the Korean War.

(3) To maintain a strong relationship between our Chapter and the local Korean Community
