Purse Bingo Is Back!

Yes, we are finally getting Purse Bingo back on the calendar.  We were forced to take a bit of a break due to COVID, but the break is over.

Why I Am A Wreather    Board Member - Samantha Cline

My husband served our country as an Army Ranger.  In 2018 PTSD surfaced and helping him deal with that created a need for me to find a way to serve and honor those that unselfishly serve for all Americans.  That need lead me to Wreaths Across America, where I proudly serve on the Board of Directors for our Houston chapter.  I love being a part of this incredible organization, and Wreath Day is absolutely my favorite day of the year!  I enjoy gathering with our community and honoring those that have served.  Please say hello if you see me on Wreath Day or Wreath Clean Up Day!!

Tour WAA

In our last newsletter we talked about our trip to Maine and the tour of the WAA ground.  We wanted to continue that and start showing you some of the things they have on site and how they pay tribute to so many.

The picture to the left is of the monument to Tiger Fight 739.  The flight was transporting 93 military personnel and 11 civilian crew members to Saigon to relieve soldiers that were training Vietnamese troops to fight the Viet Cong gorillas.  The plane disappeared about 500 miles from Guam.  After an 8 day search, no sign of the wreck was found.  The plane is presumed to have exploded in the air.  107 men brave souls paid the price.

Groups, Teams and Clubs Oh My!

Did you know that the majority of our sponsorships for wreaths comes in from our groups, our teams, and our clubs?

It is important that our groups that are working towards wreath sponsorships realize how important they are.  If it is 5 wreaths or 500, those are wreaths that we would not have had.

Not sure about how to do it?  It is a simple 3 step process.  Just click below to get started.

2022 Patch Contest

Remember the patch above?  That was from our 5th anniversary.  Well, this year is different, it is our

15th Anniversary

We need a cool patch to celebrate the milestone.

What does that mean to you?

Our board has used up all their ideas on patch design, so we want you to design the patch!

The winning patch and designer will be featured in the November newsletter.  The designer will have reserved seating and reserved parking for wreath day as well as his/her own custom framed patch.

Submissions are due by September 30.

Patches will need to be 3" to 3 1/2" to fit on a pocket.

Send drawings to the patch email below.
